BYCC: A Legacy of Passion, Progress, and Community
Since its founding in 1983, BYCC has been a vibrant part of the local community, bringing people together through cricket. Saturday games at Queens Park Ground became a tradition, fostering camaraderie and a shared love for the sport among members of all ages.
In 2007, inspired by growing talent and enthusiasm, BYCC took a leap forward by forming its official Cricket division and joining the Middlesex Premier Cricket League. This milestone provided members with a structured platform to showcase their skills and compete at a higher level.
BYCC's commitment to growth is evident in its winter and spring indoor net sessions, offering players a chance to refine their techniques and prepare for a season filled with exciting challenges. The cricket calendar kicks off in April with friendly matches, followed by competitive league games running from May to mid-September.
A crowning achievement came in 2015 when BYCC claimed victory in the Middlesex Premier Cricket League Plate championship, a proud testament to the dedication and teamwork of its members.
Looking to the future, BYCC is poised to expand its competitive reach by establishing a 2nd XI team, opening doors for more players to engage in high-level cricket.
Beyond the pitch, BYCC exemplifies its community values through charitable efforts, including participation in Bal Gopal’s annual cricket tournament, which supports children in India and East Africa.
With a legacy of excellence, community spirit, and a passion for cricket, BYCC continues to inspire and unite its members while building a brighter future.
